As you look at the calendars, please keep in mind that, for the exception of the reading, much of our homework will be done in class ... of course this will greatly depend on the students' diligence in class and on how well they listen. Please encourage your student to use his/her time wisely in class and to study a few minutes each day for all classes.
As far as writing assignments, students may come to see me at any time about these. I have told them that if they would like to finish their writing assignment early and have me give it a quick proof, they may do that and then "freshen" it up before turning in the final copy. I cannot do this on the day it is due, however. We will alternate between creative writing and professional writing. We will also be keeping a journal. These will primarily be done in class, but there may be occasional outside journal entries.
